back from camp

where I gave in to temptation..cake every day...
I walked a lot as the places for dancing were in different parts of the filed, and we were in a acircle right at the top..plus danced loads each day.
will be back to tai chi on friday and had better think of some other ways to enjoy exercising as I have left the volunteer receptionist post, so no longer benefit from the long walk home...feel like going swimming again..wonder what will be next

off to dance camp tomorrow

Friday 22-Saturday 30th may, dancing morning noon and night plus taise chants and bhajans , cooking in a circle with people I know, cabaret one night and I have a short comedy sketch to offer.I realised last night that this thing I plan to do is linked to a total fantasy of mine.
If I could download a gift from heaven, it would be the ability to do stand up comedy, and really make people laugh.
I have split seconds of making people laugh in the moment...anyway, this will be a few minutes of perf… Continue

chocolate challenge

was given a box of chox today..hazelnut and praline. I dont like hazelnut or praline, but had a habit of eating chocolate that was in the house, even if i didnt like it.
I decided to see if i could go two hours without opening the box, and managed it.
I then took the box with me to the animal home..and offered one to Carla, and then had an open box next to me...and DID NOT EAT ONE TO SEE IF I STILL DONT LIKE HAZELNUT AND PRALINE.I gave the box to Dan who took them round to the workers, but… Continue

went to my 2nd tai chi class today, and walked home afterwards.
called into the supermarket and saw a quorn 'chicken' pie, reduced in price..delicious filling, tasty pastry......was v tempted to buy it, but it was way over my 15 'points' for the day..I knew I would eat it all if I took it home..no saving some for tomorrow.
I wavered for a few moments..pie in hand.

had a little thought that it would end up on my thighs and tummy

Hi Susannah, Well that was awhile ago.  I went to the pool every day and did what you are doing adding one each time.  An olympic size pool is really long and I considered one way a lap!  I also worked out with weights and on all the machines doing upper body one day and lower body the  next with aerobic every day.  I swim one way doing the crawl and then back on my  back with a frog like stroke.  I like the indoor pool because I can see the ceiling and judge where I am so  I don't hit  my head on the end  of the pool!Just recently they  put in a walking outdoor pool like a figure eight and people walk it 30-50 times. There is shelter over itwhich is good in one way so the older people don't get burned but I like to get the vitamin D. I have my own pool but it isn't very good for laps as it is only 30-40 feet long. It is great for the dog and pool exercises!

Hi Zannie,
I have tried xylitol, but on my attempts to reduce sugar, I like to use stevia instead of sugar substitutes because I don't totally trust them. Stevia is a supplement (in the U.S. it can't be labeled as a sugar substitute per the FDA). To me it has a bitter aftertaste but I like it in lemonade or other acidic drinks. I'm looking forward to see how I do on this program.

Very Important Question

One of the most important questions you can ask is
“Does this suit my intentions?”

The word “this” refers to any choice you are making that affects your goals. In the store, when you have those cookies in your hand, ask yourself, “Does buying these suit my intentions?” If you are thinking of watching a movie rather than joining the EFT session, ask yourself “Does this choice suit my intentions?”

Let your higher self answer the question and make your best choice.

The more you ask the question, the more you will be guided by that smart voice that helps you maintain your commitment to yourself.

Gary Craig, EFT founder on what is EFT?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
is a method to release negative feelings naturally.
It is an emotional form of acupressure.
With your fingertips, you tap certain energy points on your body while you are "tuned in" to your problem.

Gary Craig, the founder of EFT:

"I hope this doesn't sound too grandiose, but I've been doing energy healing work since 1991 and my jaw still drops at the results. I've lost count of the number of phobias, panic/anxiety attacks, traumatic memories, guilt, grief and physical ailments that have been elegantly relieved (often in minutes) by this procedure. Even though EFT violates just about every conventional belief out there, the results remain remarkable. EFT isn't perfect, of course. We don't get 100%. But it usually works well and the results are sometimes spectacular. It often works where nothing else will.

We are still learning why EFT works so well. It centers around the profound effects of the body's subtle energies using the theory that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. Accordingly, EFT is an emotional form of acupuncture except that we don't use needles. Instead, we tap with the fingertips to stimulate certain meridian energy points while the client is "tuned in" to the problem.

The subtle energies that circulate throughout the body have been largely ignored (until recently) by western scientists. As a result, our use of them for emotional and spiritual healing has been sparse at best. With EFT, however, we consider these subtle energies to be the front running cause of emotional upsets. As a result, we generate results that are FAR beyond those of conventional methods."
