Meredith, what will work permanently is changing your 'habits'. This can be eating habits, energy usage habits, or both. Is there something you would like to adopt in either of these categories to start you on your way? Remember, the change I'm talking about begins now, and goes on until forever. Never mind if it's hard for you to adopt (EFT can help with that). The important question is if it appeals to you, if you want to add it to your life. Let us know when you have identified one, and what it is, and if you are so inclined, how you're doing with implementing it.

Hi Meredith,

A warm welcome to you! We look forward to helping you shed your extra fat and reach your other goals as well. I’m Dr. Nili’s co-administrator on this site and one of my jobs is to make sure you get your new member letters and sessions. We provide you with six special new member EFT sessions to get you started. After that you will receive the regular EFT sessions along with the other members.

I just sent you your first session. I am also in the Eastern time zone. If you have not received it by 8:30 tonight, 9/23, please let me know. After you heard it once (or more times) post on your blog, (click on the blog tab, middle top of page, then on add a new blog, off to the right) how the first one was for you. That way you can get support from both Dr. Nili and me and others in the group. Also, if you have questions, others probably are wondering the same thing, so your post will help others too. All the way around this is a win-win situation. The sessions will every other day. To get the most out of this group, keep posting about your reactions & experiences to them. Also, reply to other posts that move you.

Hi Meredith and welcome to our group. I love your sweet smile. I have a beautiful hand made vase I bought in Asheville--along with having lovely memories of the area which i discovered on a trip to the Smokey Mountains.

We also share a love of quilting, but I bet that you actually quilt, unlike me who just looks at quilt books and dreams. :)

We will be able to help you learn how to let go of the discouragement, use EFT for other issues and move toward the weight you want to achieve. You will soon be receiving your first new member letter and first EFT session from my co-administrator, Ilana, and you'll be on your way!

I usually post a welcome flower photo for new members. For you I'm sending a photo of a quilt I think is just gorgeous as well. Welcome!


 
 

Very Important Question

One of the most important questions you can ask is
“Does this suit my intentions?”

The word “this” refers to any choice you are making that affects your goals. In the store, when you have those cookies in your hand, ask yourself, “Does buying these suit my intentions?” If you are thinking of watching a movie rather than joining the EFT session, ask yourself “Does this choice suit my intentions?”

Let your higher self answer the question and make your best choice.

The more you ask the question, the more you will be guided by that smart voice that helps you maintain your commitment to yourself.

Gary Craig, EFT founder on what is EFT?


EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
is a method to release negative feelings naturally.
It is an emotional form of acupressure.
With your fingertips, you tap certain energy points on your body while you are "tuned in" to your problem.

Gary Craig, the founder of EFT:

"I hope this doesn't sound too grandiose, but I've been doing energy healing work since 1991 and my jaw still drops at the results. I've lost count of the number of phobias, panic/anxiety attacks, traumatic memories, guilt, grief and physical ailments that have been elegantly relieved (often in minutes) by this procedure. Even though EFT violates just about every conventional belief out there, the results remain remarkable. EFT isn't perfect, of course. We don't get 100%. But it usually works well and the results are sometimes spectacular. It often works where nothing else will.

We are still learning why EFT works so well. It centers around the profound effects of the body's subtle energies using the theory that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. Accordingly, EFT is an emotional form of acupuncture except that we don't use needles. Instead, we tap with the fingertips to stimulate certain meridian energy points while the client is "tuned in" to the problem.

The subtle energies that circulate throughout the body have been largely ignored (until recently) by western scientists. As a result, our use of them for emotional and spiritual healing has been sparse at best. With EFT, however, we consider these subtle energies to be the front running cause of emotional upsets. As a result, we generate results that are FAR beyond those of conventional methods."
