I wonder if anyone else has tried apple cider vinegar? This was recommended to me by a friend, and I find it does help me feel full. I take a tablespoon diluted in water before meals. Anyone else?

I have been trying to lose weight all my life, it seems, and was a very fat child - back before that was common! The first time, at age 12, I lost 22 pounds on Weight Watchers, and basically kept it off until the birth of my first child. Since then, it was been a battle

I enjoy going to the gym, but need to get motivated to get there!! I also have a lot of stress in my life and think I am handling it well, but not losing weight (or losing and then gaining) is probably a symptom

Train Tapping

Seems like my progress is painfully slow, but the scale is going in the right direction and I feel much more able to deal with stress and tough times. I really noticed how much EFT has helped me to control cravings when I was on my way home on the train yesterday. It is a 1- 1/2 hour ride and I used to always buy myself a certain ice cream treat on the way back. I won't go into details, but it is SINFULLY delicious and probably close to a days' allotment of calories.

It works!!!

So sorry I haven't blogged in such a long time. Have had some personal issues in just about every realm, and tapping has REALLY helped me cope and keep things in perspective. I am also happy to report that I finally had the courage to weigh myself today at the gym, and I am down 4 kilos (nearly 9 pounds) since I started my new weight-loss program, combining a sensible meal plan and EFT.

Wanted to share with you all that this morning I was lucky enough to meet with Dr. Nili Marcia in person at the gym we both belong to. Before our workouts, we did some EFT and it was really an eye-opener! I can see how and why the Emotional Scale is a positive tool and I really do feel a difference. I started out in black and moved up to orange. However, I have the strange problem that I am absolutely unable to cry as I have been through so many painful experiences in the last few years, that I have just stopped crying. I really LIKED the fact that you brought up possible conflict. I mean, beyond someone telling me to make healthy food choices, who says I can't be a "big, beautiful woman"!? I mean, in many societies, I would be considered just right. :) However, I have diabetes on both sides of the family and I don't like the way I look...but maybe I somehow "need" my fat self?...talk about conflict!

How nice to see you here. Please forgive me for being so slow to welcome you. I think I melted. I have to check around me for a puddle.

It's great that you decided to give this a try. It really can be a great adjunct to the gym work you already do, and it can help you with the problem you mentioned--motivation to get yourself there.

As for getting support here, this is a good place. Your part is to post what is happening with you, what's going well, what's not, whatever you want to share. Our part is to share and support you. How does that sound?

Letting us know what it was like doing the session and what came up for you is a great way to begin. I look forward to doing this with you.

I’m Dr. Nili’s co-administrator on this site and one of my jobs is to make sure you get your new member letters and sessions. Very Important Question

One of the most important questions you can ask is
“Does this suit my intentions?”

The word “this” refers to any choice you are making that affects your goals. In the store, when you have those cookies in your hand, ask yourself, “Does buying these suit my intentions?” If you are thinking of watching a movie rather than joining the EFT session, ask yourself “Does this choice suit my intentions?”

Let your higher self answer the question and make your best choice.

The more you ask the question, the more you will be guided by that smart voice that helps you maintain your commitment to yourself.

Gary Craig, EFT founder on what is EFT?


EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
is a method to release negative feelings naturally.
It is an emotional form of acupressure.
With your fingertips, you tap certain energy points on your body while you are "tuned in" to your problem.

Gary Craig, the founder of EFT:

"I hope this doesn't sound too grandiose, but I've been doing energy healing work since 1991 and my jaw still drops at the results. I've lost count of the number of phobias, panic/anxiety attacks, traumatic memories, guilt, grief and physical ailments that have been elegantly relieved (often in minutes) by this procedure. Even though EFT violates just about every conventional belief out there, the results remain remarkable. EFT isn't perfect, of course. We don't get 100%. But it usually works well and the results are sometimes spectacular. It often works where nothing else will.

We are still learning why EFT works so well. It centers around the profound effects of the body's subtle energies using the theory that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. Accordingly, EFT is an emotional form of acupuncture except that we don't use needles. Instead, we tap with the fingertips to stimulate certain meridian energy points while the client is "tuned in" to the problem.

The subtle energies that circulate throughout the body have been largely ignored (until recently) by western scientists. As a result, our use of them for emotional and spiritual healing has been sparse at best. With EFT, however, we consider these subtle energies to be the front running cause of emotional upsets. As a result, we generate results that are FAR beyond those of conventional methods."
