Have you tried to lose weight before? Were you successful? Totally, partially? What happened since then?
I have lost weight before ( three times in the last 25 years) and very successfully. Each time I reached goal weight with a loss of around 20 odd kg (45 to 50 lbs). Hmmm... since the last time I attained my target (perhaps 6 years ago) I have gradually gained weight mostly because I no longer exercise as much. I've gained a lot especially in the past year (mostly around my middle) because I was writing a book for the first 6 months (very sedentary) and the second 6 months my younger daughter and I had no kitchen (she's renovating) so I ate a lot of sandwiches and takeaways!
What is your current goal weight? (Specific figure please!)

EFT can help with many things. What other goals do you have for your body or habits or other aspects?
I intend to resume my daily walks and get fitter. Lately I seem to have lost my oomph!

I've just read through all the posts since last I was here. Although I'll not be replying to any individual post, here's wishing you all much joy and peace and love.

How interesting. Although I've done the traditional finger tapping, I didn't know about your second version of finger tapping, the one-handed system. So that was fun! It took a bit of getting used to, but I really enjoyed doing the one-handed version with both hands. Loved taiking to my cells as well. Nili, thanks for the serenity prayer/5 fingered tapping combo. That's awesome!

Oops... I lost my notes on #221 and #222, so I've chosen to listen again to these sessions.

#221 is so not about me. I happen to be a very persistent person, don't do 'boring', I'm very good at saying no and I always put my priorities first. However these past few days I have prioritised an exciting new project I'm researching and my exercise routine has gone for a loop! Yesterday I listened to newsletter #220, a Dr Phil day session. Your advice was really appreciated, Nili. What I took from it was that I should stay in the moment, and not make food my focus. BTW the first habit I've chosen to break is not to read or watch TV while eating. And so far, so good. You've motivated me to take charge and bring about the change I intend by gradually introducing new eating behaviours. Thanks, Nili.

I'm very excited about getting back to my goal weight with the help of EFT. BTW the cooking thing is genetic. The women in our family don't cook, but the men do!

A warm welcome to you! We look forward to helping you shed your extra fat and reach your other goals as well. Won’t it be great when we have succeeded? I’m Dr. Nili’s co-administrator on this site and one of my jobs is to make sure you get your new member letters and sessions. We provide you with six special new member EFT sessions to get you started. After that you will receive the regular EFT sessions along with the other members.

We've developed a way to let you move forward at your own pace. You can receive the sessions one a day or more spaced out. The way we do this is by waiting to send you the next session until you say you are ready for it. I’m sending you your first session now. After you heard it once (or more times) and are ready for number two, post on your blog, on your page here, how the first one was for you and your readiness for number two. I will be watching for your post and promptly send it off to you.

We do it this way for another reason as well: so you can get support from both Dr. Nili and me and others in the group. Also, if you have questions, others probably are wondering the same thing so your post will help others too. All the way around this is a win-win situation.

Very Important Question

One of the most important questions you can ask is
“Does this suit my intentions?”

The word “this” refers to any choice you are making that affects your goals. In the store, when you have those cookies in your hand, ask yourself, “Does buying these suit my intentions?” If you are thinking of watching a movie rather than joining the EFT session, ask yourself “Does this choice suit my intentions?”

Let your higher self answer the question and make your best choice.

Gary Craig, EFT founder on what is EFT?


EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
is a method to release negative feelings naturally.
It is an emotional form of acupressure.
With your fingertips, you tap certain energy points on your body while you are "tuned in" to your problem.

Gary Craig, the founder of EFT:

"I hope this doesn't sound too grandiose, but I've been doing energy healing work since 1991 and my jaw still drops at the results. I've lost count of the number of phobias, panic/anxiety attacks, traumatic memories, guilt, grief and physical ailments that have been elegantly relieved (often in minutes) by this procedure. Even though EFT violates just about every conventional belief out there, the results remain remarkable. EFT isn't perfect, of course. We don't get 100%. But it usually works well and the results are sometimes spectacular. It often works where nothing else will.

We are still learning why EFT works so well. It centers around the profound effects of the body's subtle energies using the theory that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. Accordingly, EFT is an emotional form of acupuncture except that we don't use needles. Instead, we tap with the fingertips to stimulate certain meridian energy points while the client is "tuned in" to the problem.

The subtle energies that circulate throughout the body have been largely ignored (until recently) by western scientists. As a result, our use of them for emotional and spiritual healing has been sparse at best. With EFT, however, we consider these subtle energies to be the front running cause of emotional upsets. As a result, we generate results that are FAR beyond those of conventional methods."
