health. I want to live in such a way that I am not obsessed by food or weight. I would like the freedom to eat in a healthy "intuitive" way. In the past when I have been successful with staying slender it has been more like a letting go than a controlling attitude.

Hi again

still catching up on sessions but really happy to find them inmy mailbox. What I have noticed is that on days that I do any kind of tapping, my urges to overeat are not very strong, but on days when I don't tap, there they are!!!

Welcome to our group. I'm really happy that you have jumped right in and already begun the process by listening to your first session. I want you to know that we are here for you, to answer questions or give support.

About the anxiety you experienced: that is a really normal and common occurrence. Some people can't label the feeling and just know they are uncomfortable. In fact some people actually quit because they don't realize that it is an important phase which will pass as the problem areas are eased by the tapping.

One great thing we can do when we are uncomfortable because of anxiety or any other emotion, for that matter, id just accept that the emotion is there and tap on it. "Even though I am feeling anxious.." This can often be the fastest way through the discomfort. Since it passed quickly for you, the thing which was bothering you might not be a deep issue. In any event I'm pleased for you and wish you lots of success.

A warm welcome to you! We look forward to helping you shed your extra fat and reach your other goals as well. Won’t it be great when we have succeeded? I’m Dr. Nili’s co-administrator on this site and one of my jobs is to make sure you get your new member letters and sessions. We provide you with six special new member EFT sessions to get you started. After that you will receive the regular EFT sessions along with the other members.

We've developed a way to let you move forward at your own pace. You can receive the sessions one a day or more spaced out. The way we do this is by waiting to send you the next session until you say you are ready for it. I’m sending you your first session now. After you heard it once (or more times) and are ready for number two, post on your blog, on your page here, how the first one was for you and your readiness for number two. I will be watching for your post and promptly send it off to you.

We do it this way for another reason as well: so you can get support from both Dr. Nili and me and others in the group. Also, if you have questions, others probably are wondering the same thing so your post will help others too. All the way around this is a win-win situation.

Very Important Question

One of the most important questions you can ask is
“Does this suit my intentions?”

The word “this” refers to any choice you are making that affects your goals. In the store, when you have those cookies in your hand, ask yourself, “Does buying these suit my intentions?” If you are thinking of watching a movie rather than joining the EFT session, ask yourself “Does this choice suit my intentions?”

Let your higher self answer the question and make your best choice.

The more you ask the question, the more you will be guided by that smart voice that helps you maintain your commitment to yourself.

Gary Craig, EFT founder on what is EFT?


EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
is a method to release negative feelings naturally.
It is an emotional form of acupressure.
With your fingertips, you tap certain energy points on your body while you are "tuned in" to your problem.

Gary Craig, the founder of EFT:

"I hope this doesn't sound too grandiose, but I've been doing energy healing work since 1991 and my jaw still drops at the results. I've lost count of the number of phobias, panic/anxiety attacks, traumatic memories, guilt, grief and physical ailments that have been elegantly relieved (often in minutes) by this procedure. Even though EFT violates just about every conventional belief out there, the results remain remarkable. EFT isn't perfect, of course. We don't get 100%. But it usually works well and the results are sometimes spectacular. It often works where nothing else will.

We are still learning why EFT works so well. It centers around the profound effects of the body's subtle energies using the theory that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. Accordingly, EFT is an emotional form of acupuncture except that we don't use needles. Instead, we tap with the fingertips to stimulate certain meridian energy points while the client is "tuned in" to the problem.

The subtle energies that circulate throughout the body have been largely ignored (until recently) by western scientists. As a result, our use of them for emotional and spiritual healing has been sparse at best. With EFT, however, we consider these subtle energies to be the front running cause of emotional upsets. As a result, we generate results that are FAR beyond those of conventional methods."
