Have you tried to lose weight before? Were you successful? Totally, partially? What happened since then?
i have tried dieting and i would do well all day eating small meals and then when i got home my self-control would completely dissolve. same goes with exercise- i have to convince myself to workout.
i even hired a personal trainer for 4 months and i still could not control my eating so i saw very little results. i definitely have an addiction to food.
What is your current goal weight? (Specific figure please!)

Our goal is to lose fat while retaining our fat-burning muscle. For most people an average of a 1 pound or 500 grams per week fat loss is realistic. What is your initial 3 month goal weight?

a little over 1lb per week
EFT can help with many things. What other goals do you have for your body or habits or other aspects?
i want to become less impulsive and not treat my anxiety and bipolar disorder with food.
my anxiety feeds alot of my problems including intense jaw pain from clenching my jaw constantly.

my first session

i don't really have a lot to say about the first session-
except that usually when i do EFT i do it quite quickly and it's over with in record time-
but doing the first session i think i may benefit from slowing down and focusing longer on what i am saying.

i still feel nauseous after almost every EFT round that i do.
does this subside after a while? i have only been doing EFT for a week or so and it has not subsided yet.

i'm looking forward to the next session

Welcome to our group! I'm glad you have gotten started and look forward to helping you with your goals and with that jaw pain causing anxiety. I think you have identified several important areas for work and release which is just great.

A warm welcome to you! We look forward to helping you shed your extra fat and reach your other goals as well. I’m Dr. Nili’s co-administrator on this site and one of my jobs is to make sure you get your new member letters and sessions. We provide you with six special new member EFT sessions to get you started. After that you will receive the regular EFT sessions along with the other members.

I just sent you your first session. If it hasn't arrive by 1 am on 11/05/09, please let me know. After you heard it once (or more times) post on your blog, (click on the blog tab, middle top of page, then on add a new blog, off to the right) how the first one was for you. That way you can get support from both Dr. Nili and me and others in the group. Also, if you have questions, others probably are wondering the same thing, so your post will help others too. All the way around this is a win-win situation. The sessions will continue to arrive every other day. To get the most out of this group, keep posting about your reactions & experiences to them. Also, reply to other posts that move you.

Very Important Question

One of the most important questions you can ask is
“Does this suit my intentions?”

The word “this” refers to any choice you are making that affects your goals. In the store, when you have those cookies in your hand, ask yourself, “Does buying these suit my intentions?” If you are thinking of watching a movie rather than joining the EFT session, ask yourself “Does this choice suit my intentions?”

Let your higher self answer the question and make your best choice.

The more you ask the question, the more you will be guided by that smart voice that helps you maintain your commitment to yourself.

Gary Craig, EFT founder on what is EFT?


EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
is a method to release negative feelings naturally.
It is an emotional form of acupressure.
With your fingertips, you tap certain energy points on your body while you are "tuned in" to your problem.

Gary Craig, the founder of EFT:

"I hope this doesn't sound too grandiose, but I've been doing energy healing work since 1991 and my jaw still drops at the results. I've lost count of the number of phobias, panic/anxiety attacks, traumatic memories, guilt, grief and physical ailments that have been elegantly relieved (often in minutes) by this procedure. Even though EFT violates just about every conventional belief out there, the results remain remarkable. EFT isn't perfect, of course. We don't get 100%. But it usually works well and the results are sometimes spectacular. It often works where nothing else will.

We are still learning why EFT works so well. It centers around the profound effects of the body's subtle energies using the theory that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. Accordingly, EFT is an emotional form of acupuncture except that we don't use needles. Instead, we tap with the fingertips to stimulate certain meridian energy points while the client is "tuned in" to the problem.

The subtle energies that circulate throughout the body have been largely ignored (until recently) by western scientists. As a result, our use of them for emotional and spiritual healing has been sparse at best. With EFT, however, we consider these subtle energies to be the front running cause of emotional upsets. As a result, we generate results that are FAR beyond those of conventional methods."
